Much Ado About Nothing

When Don Pedro and his peers invite themselves to stay with Leonato, it was always likely that Claudio would fall for the host’s daughter Hero. It was less likely that Hero’s cousin and confirmed spinster Beatrice would fall in love with cad-about-town Benedick. When Claudio rejects Hero over suspicion of infidelity and Hero appears to die, everything goes a bit pear-shaped. Don John is painted as the villain, but is probably the only one who doesn’t lie.
